SOLDIERS EJECTED
Rowdy Debate In South African Parliament SEND SOLDIERS OVERSEAS Rec. 2 p.m. CAPETOWN, Feb. 3. The debate on General Smuts' motion to send South Africans outside Africa was interrupted from the gallery by soldiers of the First Division now on leave. General Kemp, one of the leaders of the 1914 rebellion, said that whatever the outcome of the war, Britain would collapse economically, the Dominions would break away and Britain would lose South Africa. The interruptions started when a Government member criticised the Opposition for holding up the country's war effort. An outburst of approval from the gallery led to the ejection of four soldiers. Then two others were asked to leave and an outburst at the conclusion of the member's speech and shouts of "Good old Jannie Smuts," resulted in four more being ejected.
