CRIPPLED CHILDREN
REMOVAL FROM OXEHUXGA
After some months of moving about, the children of the Wilson Home, Takapuna, were taken home from Onehunga to-day to their North Shore residence. With the prospects of a pleasant summer ahead, the children are elated at the thought of once again being able to be near the sea and to laugh and play in the beautiful grounds they know and love.
Altogether 64 children, 16 of them stretcher cases, were taken from the Onehunga Intermediate School this afternoon. The transport was carried out by the St. John Ambulance organisation, under the control of Mr. S. E. Langstone. The stretcher cases were carried by ambulances and the others were taken in motor cars of the St. John Ambulance Auxiliary Transport Corps.
