CONSTABLE RESISTED
GAOL FOR YOUNG MAORI Charges of drunkenness in federal Street on Saturday and resisting Constable Stobie while in the execution of his duty, was admitted by a Maori. Charles Mitai. a labourer of 21. in the Police Court to-day.
Sub-Inspector MacNamara said Mitai put up a strenuous resistence when Tje-ng arrested and the constable had to handcuff him.
Mr. .1. H. Luxford. S.M.. sentenced Mitai to one month's imprisonment.
