SAFE ROBBED
CITY BURGLARY
£100 IN CASH STOLEN
Breaking into the butchers' premises of the Great Central Market, which extend from Queen Street to Lome Street, early yesterday morning, thieves secured a large haul. The safe was blown open by gelignite and £100 in cash was taken.
It is believed that the burglary was carried out shortly after 5 o'clock yesterday morning, for about that time a nightwatchman on duty in premises near the Civic Square heard an explosion.
