HEALTH STAMP SALES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The first day's sales of the two new health stamps were remarkably high compared with those of the campaign a year ago. It is apparent that collectors are still keen on firstday covers. The total sales yesterday at the four centres were just on £1600, which compares very favourably with the £2538, representing the total sales of health stamps for the whole of New Zealand in the full month of October last year.
