SAGO PLUM PUDDING
One cupful milv., one cupful fruit i one cupful breadcrumbs, one cupful brown sugar, two heaped teaspoonfuls sago, one egg, one heaped dessertspoonful butter, quarter teaspoonful soda, pinch salt, grated i lemon rind. Wash sago and soak one hour in milk. Cream butter and sugar, add well-beaten egg. Mix all ingredients , together. Put in a greased basin and steam three hours. Serve with custard.
