It is disquieting to discover that even a state of total war does ™ prevent certain reactionarv fW from dabbling in national affahK which they know nothing f f despite the fact that for some th£ past civil service organisations been pressing for the all officers upon their completion it 40 years' service., certain comment interests have gone so far as ta - an assurance from the Minister tS public servants must remain in S service beyond the period of thriS retirement. However, it is to note that the Minister I&TK wise enough to refrain from quaHfr ing an otherwise rash statements that he has not specified whethe? « not retirees are required to carre™ at the top, thus preventing ySa? and more virile men from more ffi ciently occupying higher positing or whether they will be work in casual until the manpower problem k acute.
