NIXON WINS SNOOKER
The Auckland open snooker tourney was finalised last evening when R. Nixon beat F. Bedwell. 57—36, 41—52, 57—28, 65—25.
The Barton and McGiU Cup was presented to the winner by ilr. S. Holdsworth. vice-president of the Auckland Billiards Association, while tha runner-up received a wallet.
In recognition of his New Zealand record break of 72 for an amateur, made earlier in the tournament. R. Whitford was presented with a gold and silver medal.
