DAMAGE BY FIRE
STATE-OWNED HOUSE
MOTHKIt KEHCI KH CHILD (0.C.) DAROAVILLE, this day. A fire occurred at 9 o'clock this morning in a State-owned house occupied by Mrs. H. Potts, whose husband is a member of the armed forces. Mrs. Potts was engaged in domestic duties outside the house when she discovered that the washhouse attached to the re-idence was in flame.-. I 'liable to gain entry through tiie front door, which was locked, she dashed into the binning washhouse and succeeded in rescuing her 18 months' old daughter, but not before she and the infant had been burned, the child somewhat severely.
