CAPTIVES IN MALAYA
Inquiries at the Prisoners of War Ofticc, Auckland, reveal that the list received vestenlay of the names of people who were in Malaya at the time of the Japanese occupation is not official and a scrutiny has not revealed any Aucklanders. The list, it is stated, has evidently been compiled from statements made by people who have been evacuated and It is thought that the majority of names relate to residents of England.
