MISSING AND PRISONERS

Australian troops, mainly members of the A.1.F., missing or prisoners of war in Crete, Greece and the Far East, including New Guinea, total 28,251, said the Minister for the Army, Mr. Forde. He added that 7667 were known to be prisoners in Crete and Greece, with 20.384 missing or prisoners in territories occupied by the Japanese, while 16,286 were left in Malaya.
