EXEMPTION APPEALS RAILWAY AND TRANSPORT Nearly a hundred appeals for exemption from military service, lodged by the Railway Department on behalf of employees, were heard by the No. 2 Armed Forces Appeal Board yesterday afternoon. In most cases an indefinite postponement of military service was given. About twenty appeals on behalf of Auckland Transport Board employees were also dealt with.
