AMATEUR BOXING
CHAMPIONSHIPS SEPTEMBER 21, 22, 23
At the monthly meeting of the Auckland Boxing Association the Henry Donovan Memorial Cup. donated by Mr. H. Lynn, and the Maurice Prost Memorial Cup donated by Private George Maines, were allocated to the junior division of the Auckland championships, which will be held on September 21, 22 and 23.
The Frost Cup is to be for the winner of the junior lightweight section and the Donovan Cup for the most successful trainer of Juniors.
Entries for the championship will be accepted from all amateur boxers resident in the Auckland Province, and it is anticipated that large nominations will be received from members of the armed forces.
Messrs. C. A. Herring, M. Deltch, W. Senior and J. Story were elected members of the association.
