MISSING R.N.Z.A.F. MACHINE

Hundreds of Home Guardsmen, together with members of the Army and Lands and Survey Department, with numerous machines of the R.N.Z.A.F., are continuing the search for the aircraft which was reported missing on Sunday morning. Many reports have been received from people who believed they saw the missing plane on Sunday, and all are being investigated. The search continues.
The machine, which was engaged in co-operation with a Home Guard unit, was piloted by Pilot Officer Mason Irvine Elliott, who had with him as a passenger Lieutenant Harold Francis Bollard.
