TUNNEL SHELTERS
The Mayor of Auckland is to be I commended for the wise expenditure I of money on the Albert Park tunnel shelters. They are central and will prove a valuable asset in the future. The main drive can be extended to make a roadway which will serve as an additional traffic outlet from Queen Street, and the smaller tunnels enlarged to make a taxi depot, removing them from the busy streets. The residents of Devonport particularly should demand the Waitemata tunnel to connect the Shore with the city he started without delay. R. STEWART.
