LINE BLOCKED
SLIP ON MAIN TRUNK
DELAY TO EXPRESSES
_ Railway travel on the Main Trunk, line has been considerably dislocated through a slip on the line at Mataroa, seven miles north of Taihape. The ordinary express, due to reach Auckland at 7 o'clock this morning and the Limited express, due to an ive at 9.30, were both late in reaching Auckland from Wellington to-day.

, l>. e ,, cal '- v express from Auckland to vVelhngton was scheduled to leave at the usual time of 3 o'clock this alter noon, and the Limited express on schedule at 7.15 p.m. Railway officials in Auckland were unable to state the extent of the slip but it was expected that it would soon be cleared. Most of the country in vicinity .of Mataroa is papa, and liable to slips after heavy rain Kecent earthquakes may also have been a contributory cause. Advice has been received bv the railway department in Auckland that the slip was cleared by 5 o'clock this morning.
