GALLANT SERGEANT
BRITISH EMPIRE MEDALLIST Rec. 1 p.m. RUGBY, August 9. The British Empire Medal in the military division has been awarded to a Wiltshire Home Guard sergeant, F. L. J. Leslie, for gallantry in recovering a hand grenade which, with the safety pin removed, was dropped by a man under instruction and rolled under some boards in a trench.
