LEAGUE CONTROL
CITY-OTAHCHI* TO PLAY MANUKAU A feature of last evening's meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Board of Control was a presentation to Mr. W. Foreshaw, who for 21 years' has been Tn charge of the players' gate on Carlaw Park. This service has been given gratuitously. The chairman, Mr. J. W. Watson, in making the presentation, which took the form of a wallet and cheque, said the great success of the code had been due to the services rendered by men of the stamp of Foreshaw. The question of Manukau Club going to Wellington to play the Aotea team was deferred again owing to the difficulty of setting aside a suitable date. The Wellington league was endeavouring to obtain the Basin Reserve for the match. The Chairman reported on the initial meeting of the Sports Council, and it was decided to apply for affiliation.
