RUGBY LEAGUE
SHORE "BURIES THE HATCHET " Winner of the Auckland Rugby League championship last, season. North Shore decided last evening to confirm the amalgamation with the Marist Club, and a combined team will take the field against Manukau on Saturday. Up until now. the North Shore players have taken no part in the senior competition.
The negotiations were carried on at a special meeting. Messrs. J. Sayegh (president) and J. Kirwan (secretary) represented the Marist Club, while Messrs. H. H. Hunt and J. Mann stated North Shore's case.
It was reported that six North Shore players will be available this Saturday, and a strong combination is expected the week after.
