RESCUE EQUIPMENT

SHINERS IN WAIKATO

NEW ROTOWARO STATION

(0 -C.) HUNTLY, this day. The equipping of the new miners' rescue station at Rotowaro has reached an advanced stage with the arrival of the new rescue motor van, which has been delivered to Rotowaro. Properly fitted up for the conveyance of rescue equipment, the van is punt on modern lines, on a chassis of the latest type, and will be a great acquisition to the station. It will be stationed at Rotowaro and will be f m readiness to proceed to any or the Waikato mines where rescue work may be required. A splendid station has been erected at Rotowaro, and a good deal of the necessary equipment has already been provided. Mr. Frank Duffy, superintendent of the Dobson station, YVest Coast, is expected to arrive shortly to organise the Rotowaro station for the training of rescue squads.

The Rotowaro station is one of the three stations provided by the Government, the others being at Dobson (first established), and at Ohai Southland.
