DISABLED MEN
TRAMWAY PASSES The 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force Association has been approved by the Auckland Transport Board for the purpose of submitting applications for free passes on the tramway system for disabled persons. Formerly only the Auckland R.g.A. was recognised in this connection, but the board granted the new association the same privilege at its meeting to-day. "The issue of monthly ride tickets involves a considerable amount of clerical work and in view of the shortage of trained office staff, it is recommended that the board continue to issue free passes available at all times until conditions return to normal, when further consideration can be given to the matter,"' I said a report by the secretary, Mr. C. R. Gibble, which was adopted.
