Newcomers To The N.Z. Bomber Squadron MANY AUCKLAND NAMES Special Correspondent. Rec. 1 p.m. _ LONDON, June 7. Newcomers to the New Zealand Bomber Squadron include PilotOfficers E. Grant, of Gisborne, A. S. Broun and J. C. Monk, both of Auckland. T. Smith, of Wairarapa, R. J. Smith, of Wellington. P. Gunning, of Shannon, and G. Horne, of Masterton.

Others are Sergeants L. E. Ford and C. Smith, of Auckland, G. Caitcheon and E. Hayden, of Morrinsville, W. R. Ramsay, from the West Coast, A. Campbell, of Hawera, and L. Chambers, of Westport.

New names among the armourers include D. Pottinger, of Westport, J. Chemis, of Dunedin, W. Mason, of Napier, J. Walsh, of Mataura, E. Gray and G. Garty, of Auckland.

New Zealanders flying heavy bombers, who took part in the big Cologne and Essen raids, included Squadron-Leaders P. B. Robertson, D.F.C., of Auckland, and K. Thiele, of Christchurch; Flying-Officers B. Openshaw. of Marton, and V. E. Sutherland, of Wellington; PilotOfficers J. C. Murray, of Dunedin, and L. Mee, of Wellington; Sergeants H. Alcock, of Napier, R. Powell, of Auckland, R. E„ Stone, of Te Aroha, K. McGregor, of Masterton, A. Arnold, of Tapanui, and N. Bryson, of Christchurch.

They all met Mr. Jordan, the High Commissioner, as did Sergeants G. Dormer and I. Culpan, of Auckland, and R. "Thornton, of Masterton, J. A. Wilson, of Takapuna, who were at a Halifax operational training unit.
