INHUMAN TREATMENT
GERMAN FIELD HOSPITALS
Rec. 11.30 JOHANNESBURG, June 7. A South African doctor, who has escaped after several months m the hands of the Germans, has described conditions in German field hospitals as shocking. He was put to work at one hospital where inhuman treatment was meted out to German wounded. Bullets were extracted under local anaesthetic. The wounded were given few blankets and compelled to sleep on the floors.
