EX-ALL BLACK HAROLD MILLIKEN TO PLAY FOR PETONE LEAGUE
At the weekly meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Board of Control last evening, an application was received from the Wellington League to transfer Harold MiUiken. the ex-All Black and New Zealand League representative player, from Papakura Club to Petone. This was granted subject to the New Zealand Council's permission. Dealing with the ordering off of A. Broadhead last Saturday, the evidence was taken in committee, and upon resuming in open board it was announced that no further action would be taken. Speaking generally. Mr. J. W. Watson, the chairman, appealed to all players to support the referees in their difficult task.
The League ladies' social committee sent a donation of £ 5 towards the Injured Players' Fund. A special motion o I thanks was passed to them. Owing to the chairman of the schoolboys* committee, Mr. V. Rose, being co-opted tor Home Guard work, Mr. C. T. Rowe was appointed as the schoolboy member of the board.
