TAUPIRI COAL EARNINGS Net earnings of £9532. compared with £9407 last year, and £10.592 in 1940. are shown in the accounts of Taupiri Coal Mines. Ltd.. for the year ended March 31. Profit is reached after allowing: lor depreciation and transferring £ 12,800 (£10,260 last year) to taxation reserve. Preference shares dividends amounting to £ 1280 have been paid, leaving £8252 available. An unchanged dividend of 1 3 a share, or 6'4 per cent, is proposed on ordinary shares, requiring £8125. Gross profit is shown as £40.013 against £34,377 last year.
