DUTCH SQUADRON
FORMED IX AUSTRALIA
Rec. 2 p.m. CANBERRA, this day.
The -Minister of Air, Mr. Drakeford, has announced the formation in Australia of a Dutch armv air squadron. All the pilots have "been on active operations against the Japanese in the battle for the Netherlands East Indies. Plans have been made to equip the squadron with modern planes. . The Minister of Aircraft Production, Mr. Cameron, has announced that a large sum has been allocated for the provision of shadow aircraft factories in Australia. In this scheme all the States have been considered.
