MARTHA MINE YEAR
Cabled advice has been received from London by the local attorney of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi). Ltd., that a net profit of £60,041 was earned for the jear ended December 31. The final dividend, as reported in the Star on April 28. is 9d sterling a share, making 25 per cent, unchanged, for the year. Results, with figures for 1940 in parentheses, are:—Gross profit., £132.582 (£150.521); taxation, £68.622 (£84.072): depreciation. £3919 (£4249); net profit. £60,041 (£62,200); brought forward. £5968 (£5757): dividend. 25 per cent (25 per cent); amount. £61,988 (£61,988); carried forward, £4021 (£5968).
