WATER SUPPLY
HEARING ADJOURNED
The hearing of the appeals by the North Shore boroughs, Takapuna, Northcote and Devonport, in connection with the Board of Health's requisition under which the City Council will take over the standby water supply plant at Lake Pupuke, waa continued yesterday afternoon when evidence was called on behalf of the Takapuna Borough Council. The points at issue are the valuation of the plant and whether air or what portion of it, is necessary to ensure a sufficient supply to the North Shore boroughs in a* case of emergency. The hearing will, be, resumed on Tuesday next.
