WAR COSTS GRANT
TO DAIRY INDUSTRY
ANNOUNCEMENT TO-NIGHT

WELLINGTON, this day.
.When the Minister of Marketing, Mr. Barclay, speaks in the financial debate in the House of Representatives to-night he will announce the war costs allowance to the dairy industry to offset increased labour costs arising out of the war.
Reference to this was made in the financial statement, but no indication has been given of the amount of the allowance or what it will involve in the aggregate.
The allowance has been the subject of negotiation and it is understood that agreement has been arrived at between the industry and the Government.
