REPORTED MISSING
AUCKLAND PILOT-OFFICER Pilot-Officer Dallas Harley Yeoman, whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Yeoman, live at 10, Lawrence Street, Heme Bay, is reported missing as the result of air operations in the Middle East. Trained in New Zealand and Canada as an observer he was commissioned in June last, and prior to joining a bomber squadron in the Middle East spent several months in England. Pilot-Officer Yeoman was educated at Ponsonby School and Seddon Memorial Technical College, and was for years employed by Marriott's Stores, Ltd., in Auckland before joining the staff of General Motors m Wellington. He played Rugby League in both Auckland and Wel--Islgtslgt£n' ant * was a * so a member of the Petone Rowing Club. He is 26 years of age. A younger brother, Wallace Quentm Yeoman (an A.B. gunner in the merchant navy) fell a prisoner of the Vichy French authorities in the raid on Dakar led by General de Gaulle, and was for 13 months in a prison camp at Kouli Kora, French West Africa, prior to his release on exchange. Another brother has just been called up for service in the army.
