NEW ENGINEER

AUCKLAND GAS COMPANY

In the employ of the Auckland Gas Company for 31 years, Mr. G. H. Collins has recently been appointed to the position of engineer. He joined the staff as a draughtsman under Mr. J. Lowe, who is retiring from the position of engineer and general manager after 34 years' service. A son of the late Mr. John Collins, who was well known in local body affairs in Takapuna for many years, Mr. Collins was born at Tuakau. In the course of his education at the Seddon Memorial Technical College he passed examination in machine designing with distinction.
