MANUKAU BEACHES
Destruction, through the removal of sand, of the beaches on the Manukau Harbour in the Franklin county is stated to be continuing at an alarming rate, despite efforts bv the county council to induce the controlling authorities to ta».;e prohibitive action. Discussion took place at yesterday's meeting of the council in committee, and it was announced that the chairman, Mr. J. N. Massev M.F., the clerk and county solicitor had been appointed to "meet the Auckland Harbour Board and decide what steps are to be taken
