AUCKLANDER'S SUCCESS
PROMOTED 2ND LIEUTENANT
Advice that her son E. J. Haslett has been promoted to the rank of 2nd lieutenant has been received by Mrs. L. Haslett, of View Road, Mount Eden. Lieutenant Haslett, who was born in Auckland is aged 25 and was educated at the Mount Albert Grammar School. Before enlisting he was employed as a traveller, by Ross and Glendining, Limited.
Smith and Caughey, Ltd.. will remain open until 9 p.m. on Christmas 1 Eve. Early morning buying advised.—(Ad.)
