British Fighters Shot Down
Over Burma Road

LONDON, Dec. 22
' A Tokyo broadcast stated that Japanese planes for the first time encountered British fighters of the Curtis Spitfire type over the terminus of the Burma Road and shot down five.
A Chungking message says that American pilots shot down three Japanese planes over Kunming, on the Burma Road.
