DEEP SHELTERS DISAPPROVED
Rec. 1 p.m. . CANBERRA, this day.
The Minister of Home Security, Mr. P. H. Lazzarini, announced that the Commonwealth would provide an additional £1.000,000 for air raid precautions, making a total of £2,000,000.
A conference of State Premiers has decided against the provision of shelters except in congested industrial areas, and against a policy of deep shelters. New South Wales dissented from this decision.
