APPEAL FOR ERGOT
An urgent appeal is being made to all persons, and particularly to women and children by the Department of Agriculture to collect as much ergot as possible in the districts where tall fescue is growing. In a few days it will be ready for harvesting. The greatest quantity of ergot that New Zealand can produce is urgently required, and the Department states that collectors can obtain good prices from produce j merchants for clean ergot. <
