FOUR SEASONS IN ONE DAY A visitor who arrived in Chrlstchurch from Lewis Pass complained of having four seasons in the one day. It was snowing when his party left in the morning, 'was warm and sunny when they passed through Hanmer, while a hot scorching nor'-west was encountered later In the day. Then they arrived to find Christchurch in a heavy drizzle. This just shows how unsettled the weather can be at this time of the year. It explains the reason for so many colds that are going round.
