NO INCREASE
EPIDEMICS IN BRITAIN British Official Wireless. Rec. 2 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 3. Sir Wilson Jamestown, chief medical officer in Britain, who has just returned to England from a visit to the United States and Canada, said the people of America were anxious to know whether there had been any increase in disease epidemics as a result of bombing, and he was able to assure them that there had been no increase nor was there any increase in deaths due to suicides or mental cases as a result of air raids. He was also able to assure inquirers that there had been no epidemics among shelter users.
