BUN TREES
(By Margaret Campbell. Belle Vwe Avenue, Northcote.) There's cherry trees and apple trees, And orange trees, I know, And olive trees beyond the seas, And trees where peaches grow. I won't plant any kind like these, Though they are jolly ones, I wish that I could grow some trees That sprouted currant buns. The brown and large and shiny kind With currants bursting through Oh. dear, if only I could find A wood where bun trees grow!
