AUCKLAND SCHOOLS
VISIT BY MINISTER
An inspection of school buildings an Auckland was made yesterday by the Minister of Education, Mr. Mason, in company with the chairman of the Auckland Education Board, Mr. W. J. Campbell, and the board's architect, Mr. H. B. Miller. After a visit to Mount Eden School Mr. Mason called at a kindergarten which is being conducted in temporary premises at Eden, Park. Later he inspected the Orakei and Avondale schools. Mr. Mason conferred with Mr. W. J. Dunlop, former secretary of the Auckland Education Board, who is making a survey in the province to determine -the need for intermediate schools.
