AUSTRALIA SOCIETY
A pleasant social evening was spent at the Penwomen's Clubrooms on Tuesday evening by the recently-formed Australia Society to mark the close of the year's activities. There were over 100 present, and among the guests were Australians from all six States. Dancing was Indulged In and a turn by a trio of acrobatics earned warm applause. A Christmas cake, beautifully decorated with Waratah and English roses, the gift of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Stanborough, was greatly admired. During the evening the loyal toast and the toasts of the services and Australia were honoured. The arrangements of the function were in the hands of the secretary of the society,
