SOUTH BRITISH HARDENING

Conditions were little altered on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day. South British were sought at £3 4/3, a rise of 3d on the last sale price, which was a record high level, holders asking £3 5/6. Standard Insurances also had stronger support. Agency shares changed hands at Arm values, and industrial issues were generally steady. Sellers in most sections were inclined to hold off.
