AIR PROMOTION
N.Z. SPITFIRE SQUADRON
Mr. and Mrs. A. R. H. Francis, Jutland Road, Takapuna, have been advised that their son, Pilot-Officer G. Francis, of the New Zealand Spitfire Squadron, has been promoted flight-lieutenant. He is 25 years of age, and left New Zealand in August last year after preliminary air training. He qualified as a fighter pilot in England. Well Known in Auckland Rugby circles, he was a prominent member of Grammar Old Boys Football Club.
