Sydney disappeared makes it almost inevitable that her fate will remain a mystery." said the Minister for the Navy, Mr. Makin. "Her disappearance is an amazing thing. Even the most experienced naval men find it difficult to explain. The area where she disappeared has been thoroughly searched by ships and planes. Not one body or piece of wreckage has been found.
