LEAGUE OF WOMENFOLK
"That the Tauranga branch of the League of Womenfolk of the Overseas Forces urges greater alignment with the Returned Services' Association and for this purpose seeks the alteration of the name of the league to the Returned Services* Association Women's Division," was the text of a resolution carried unanimously at a recent meeting of the branch attended by about fifty members. It was stated that all Tauranga men returning from overseas were joining up immediately with the Returned Services' Association. An R.S.A. women's section had been formed in Wellington, and the Tauranga branch expressed itself strongly in favour of a similar move. The hope was expressed that Auckland would favour the suggestion. NORTHCOTE BRANCH At the monthly gathering of the League of Womenfolk of the Overseas Forces, Northcote group, Mrs. Preston was convener. An invitation was accepted by the Returned Soldiers' wives, 15 being present.
