CHRISTMAS PARTY
TEMPERANCE UNION The Auckland district executive of the Women's Christian Temperance Union held a Christmas party in the Farmers' board room. The district president, Mrs. H. Kasper, presided, and was presented with a shoulder spray from the district officers.
Mrs. Kasper presented Miss Dewar of the Auckland Union, with a gift of flowers, as she is one of the oldest members of the Auckland W.C.T.U. Mrs. Cook, of the Grey Lynn Union, also received a gift of flowers. Sister Jessie spoke on the hostel for Maori Girls, and the district treasurer, Miss L. M. Read, reported that she had now the sum of £185 toward this effort.
