AUCKLANDER KILLED

NINE MEN MISSING (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The following air casualties were announced to-day, all from the R.N.Z.A.F.:— HACKETT, Frederick Charles (P. 0.). killed in aircraft accident—Mr. A. O. Hackett. Auckland (father). FIELD, laa Murray Vass (P. 0.), previously reported missing, now reclassified missing, but believed killed in action—Mrs. G. field, Richmond (mother). THOMSON, Noel Edgar (Sgt.). previously reported missing, death now officially presumed by the Air Ministry to have occurred in December—Mr. A. D. Thomson, Ashburton (father). WHITE, David Richard (Sgt.). reported missing on air operations—Mr. R. O. White. Wanganul (father). HOPE. Lawrence Beresford Hamilton (Sgt.). reported missing on air operations—Mr. P. D. Hope. Marlborough (father). KIRKE. Frank sklpwlth. D.F.M. (Sgt.). dangerously injured as result of flying accident and admitted to hospital and subsequently transferred to seriously 111 list— Mrs. E. Smlthson. Wellington (sister). HARRISON, Alfred Hubert (Sgt.). reported missing on air operations—Mrs. E. Harrison, Glsborne (mother). WILSON. John Stephen (Sgt.). reported missing on air operations—Mrs. C. Wilson, Auckland (mother). GRAY. Trevor Dudley (Sgt.). missing on air operations—Mrs. D. Gray. New Plymouth (wife).

GREER, Alexander (Acting Squadron-Leader), missing on air operations—Mrs. V. O. Greer. Wellington (mother). BROWN. Ivor Morrison (Sgt.), R.A.F.. reported missing—Mr. D. Brown. Christchurch (father).
