Acute Shortage Of Food In Norway RATIONS DOWN FOR WINTER Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 17. The food position in Norway is growing steadily worse, reports" the Norwegian Telegraph Agencv. a reduction in the bread and margarine rations, a dearth of fish and milk and an almost complete absence of meat, has been followed bv a severe shortage of potatoes. This shortage is due to lack of transport because } he .,9® rm a ns are using the transport facilities for military purposes, and also to lack of labour as a result of the Germans employing thousands of workers on defence works.
