EYES ON TURKEY
BULGARIA RESTIVE Concern At British-Soviet Concentrations United Press Association. —Copyrig-lit. Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 16. A statement by M. laneff. chairman of the Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Committee, that strong British and Russian forces on Turkey's southeast borders are causing concern to Bulgaria, in view of Bulgaria's relations with the Axis, has been interpreted in Istanbul as unnecessarily antagonistic to Turkey.
Reporting this the British United Press correspondent at Ankara adds: "Foreign propaganda experts continue to arrive in Turkey. A German military plane yesterday brought from Sofia Schwerbel, leader of the South-east of Europe department of the Press section of the German Foreign Office, with a staff, including Fischer a well-known editor, and also Schmidt, a Foreign Office spokesman. The Vichy radio declared that Turkey had formally sent a Note to Britain asking for a reduction in British propaganda in Turkey.
