Mr. J. P. Moodabe has returned to Auckland after a business trip to Australia. Mr. E. L. Rutledge will travel south by the Limited express to-night. Mr. Stanley S. Scott has returned to Auckland from a business trip to trip to Australia. Group-Captain M. W. Bucklev M.8.E.. arrived in Auckland from the south during the week-end. He is at the Central Hotel. Dr. W. Gilmour. pathologist at the Auckland Hospital, will leave tonight for Dunedin, where he will attend a meeting of the medical examinations committee. Mr. H. C. Wood, supervisor of the Cambridge Post Office, has received notice of his transfer to Ohaupo and promotion to postmaster. Mr. Wood has been stationed at Cambridge for 18J years.
Major R. H. Packwood, who left in command of the Expeditionary Force Survey Company, has been promoted to lieutenant - colonel while holding the post of assist-ant-director of works on the' British establishment. Before enlisting he was Public Works Department engineer at Whangarei. i
